Job Summary:

What You Will Do:



  • The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing help documentation material for software applications using MS Word, LateX, and Dita

  • He/She will be working with program managers, software developers, and users in the process of compiling the help system and documentation


What You Will Need:

Basics:



  • This person should be a technically proficient writer, experienced in developing instructional copy for user interfaces with a style that is precise and succinct

  • 5+ years professional writing experience

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye for small details

  • Experience writing user documentation

  • Master of word economy

  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to both provide and receive constructive criticism and an appreciation for its importance within the creative process

Preferred:



  • Portfolio of writing samples

  • Experienced in MS Word

  • Familiar with LateX or Dita

  • Familiar with Docstring
