Senior Product Manager, Distribution

As Senior Product Manager, Distribution you will focus on TuneIn’s strategy to bring radio and audio to customers on any device in every context, worldwide. The spokes of that wheel touch voice assistants, smart speakers, connected cars, mobile phones, tablets, game consoles, set-top boxes, connected TVs, and more.

You will work closely with Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, Design, and Data Analytics teams to invent, design, validate, construct, deliver and monitor new and iterative product features and whole new programs of the customer, partner, and business value. In this role, you will develop an understanding of partner technical requirements, priorities, and roadmaps combined with a deep understanding of listener needs and behaviors to influence TuneIn’s distribution product strategy.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the product vision and execution roadmap for new and iterative programs for TuneIn’s distribution across connected devices and other types of partnerships

  • Represent TuneIn with external device partners and build trust through your deep technical expertise and understanding of our joint customers’ needs

  • Align product deliverables that demonstrate customer and business value among internal stakeholders including engineering, business development, and marketing

  • Determine how best to measure product results and ensure we have the data and analytics in place to track your customer and business impact

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and usability to create new listener experiences, monetization opportunities, and operational efficiencies on connected devices

  • Partner with Engineering to guide technical plans and iterative development/validation of user stories, as the voice of detailed customer needs and motivations

  • Understand the evolving market of consumer audio products to identify benchmarks, unmet customer needs, and potential partners

  • Look around corners to reduce risk and to spot openings for innovation and transformational change

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years of product management in consumer technology companies and ease working in Agile or similar fast-iteration development process as a product owner

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • A track record of building great software products in the consumer electronics space

  • Experience managing consumer electronics partners and device manufacturers

  • Bonus: Background in automotive applications or voice-enabled device interactions

  • Deep customer empathy and fluency to turn user insights into new product programs and features

  • Critical thinking and prioritization calls that demonstrate data-driven analysis combined with sound qualitative judgment

  • Expressive written and verbal communications with a knack for clear articulation of customer problems

  • Tenacity and balance in the face of competing priorities and trade-offs between goals

  • Practiced at cross-functional influence to lead product change effectively

  • Bonus: Background in streaming media apps or services
