The Sr. Medical Coder/Compliance Reviewer performs home health and hospice compliance audits to selected agencies. Reviews all documentation to ensure it follows Medicare guidelines/regulations and Conditions of Participation. While primarily working the weekday shift, evening, weekend and/or holiday coverage may be required to meet client contractual requirements.

This position requires the ability to make independent decisions regarding accurate compliance audits.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

• Identify, review, interpret charts to ensure they meet Medicare Regulations

• Identify areas that do not meet compliance with Regulations and CoPs and what a client can do to remedy the inaccuracy.

Required Experience:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with home health and/or hospice experience

• Excellent communication

• Strong analytical skills

• Superior attention to detail

• Ability to quickly learn and efficiently navigate electronic medical records

• ICD-10 Home Health Coding Certification (BCHH-C, HCS-D)

Preferred Experience:

• Current Knowledge of home care and hospice Conditions of Participation

• Current Knowledge of home care and hospice Regulations

• OASIS Certification (HCS-O, COS-C, COQS)
