As a Product Marketing Manager on OfferZen's marketing team, you will get to put this into practice by helping define the positioning of our product and becoming the de-facto expert on our developer customer.

OfferZen is a talent marketplace in South Africa and Europe where software developers get matched with jobs at leading tech companies. As we scale our product, reach, and team, it has become increasingly important to have someone who champions and develops the positioning of OfferZen's product for our developer audience specifically.

It will be your mission to develop a deep understanding of our customer, competitors, market, and product and use this to ensure that our internal teams are empowered to better serve customers and our messaging across all touch points is memorable and effective.

What you will be doing:


  • Plan and execute product marketing initiatives with the support of OfferZen's Product Marketing Lead and CMO

  • Conduct market and competitive research and package this for the wider team

  • Develop product positioning, key product benefits, and messaging across every customer touch point

  • Responsible for coordinating with a team of channel specialists, developers, designers, and content creators to ensure our product is positioned in the best way possible to customers

  • Work with content creators, designers, and operations to create collateral such as product factsheets, architecture diagrams, pitch decks, case studies, and infographics

  • Work with the product team to plan and communicate product changes or launches

  • Work closely with the Product Marketing Lead, CMO, and data team to develop and maintain an up to date customer portfolio (personas, segmentation, feedback management)

What you need to be great at:



  • Great at interviewing and researching, and packaging your findings for the wider team

  • Obsessed with putting the customer first and eager to talk to customers

  • Comfortable using product marketing frameworks like jobs to be done, value propositions, narrative design, and positioning

  • Able to take complex ideas and turn it into easy to understand narrative or copy

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable presenting ideas to others and crafting creative briefs for writers or designers

  • Great at cross-functional collaboration, team work, and stakeholder management

  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Scrappiness and experimentation mindset: You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. If you don't know how to do something, you'll figure it out.



What you should have:


  • 4+ years of product/solution/service marketing experience

  • Experience with marketing B2C SaaS products beneficial but not a requirement

  • Demonstrated history of creative problem solving, and analytical skills along with ability to execute on marketing assets

  • Experience with marketing tools and market research tools a plus

  • Passionate about tech and startups
