The Thuma team is looking for a copywriter to join our lean, fast-growing, remote team. We hire for integrity, initiative, collaborative spirit, open mindedness, and willingness to learn.

Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing you’ll help us tell the Thuma story, developing copy that provides a 6-star experience to our customers, supports our brand positioning, and meets our business objectives.

While Thuma is based in San Francisco, with a concentration of team members also in New York, our team is spread across the country. This role is flexible and can be San Francisco-based or fully remote.

  • Be part of the brand creative team, collaborating closely to bring the brand voice to life through concepting, developing, and writing copy

  • Support the Brand Director and the wider Thuma team by designing for web, ads, emails, and more. This role will provide a lot of creative support to our Growth Marketing team. Think: ads (static and motion), social artwork, podcasts, print, and marketing emails

  • Identify messaging needs independently as a self-starter

  • Optimize and iterate content and copy based on real time learnings

  • Own messaging development for new product launches from start to finish Champion the brand’s voice standards and messaging strategy to drive brand consistency

  • Revise work based on feedback/direction


  • At least 2 years of professional copywriting experience and an excellent portfolio of work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • You’re creative, detail-oriented, and have great taste. You adapt well to change and unexpected updates in a high-paced environment

  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and are able to work with creative and non-creative partners and stakeholders

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy

  • You don’t always wait to be told what to do; you proactively look for ways to add value that the broader team can feel

  • You’re a team player and come to each new project with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
