The Conference and Events Operations Manager has responsibilities for successful event production for Naylor Events (including both owned and managed). This position works closely with the Client team supporting our managed events as well as with our in-house team members including finance, marketing, sales, and content. This position will strive to ensure the integrity of the team and corporate performance to achieve quality and excellence in all Naylor Events, products, and services.


  • Develops and manages Event Schedule of Events including end-to-end logistical management of all owned and managed events of Naylor Association Solutions (as assigned)

  • Proactively communicates project status, program deadlines as well as identifying any areas of concern and addresses these issues to ensure event outcomes are met

  • Manages the budget of each event to be able to proactively react to changes to provide forecast and updated assumptions

  • Manages overall food and beverage plans, while ensuring accurate BEOs and the F & B guarantees

  • Helps source general service contractors, AV providers, registration providers, etc. as assigned

  • Interacts with general contractors and other vendors or subcontractors regarding exhibitor lists, records, space assignments, special requirements, etc.

  • Perform duties as on-site floor manager for events

  • Manages all requirements for electrical, internet, cleaning, and other services that are required for the production of the event

  • Manages housing and rooming lists for each event

  • Manages and oversees all aspects of on-site preparation and delivery including staff travel plans, creation of on-site requirements and support documentation, VIP management, etc.

  • Registration oversight, including set-up of registration, onsite registration, and oversight of registration support team.

  • Contributes to overall team success by identifying problems and proactively seeing out methods to improve self-performance and/or efficiency of an operation or task

  • Manages weekly event reporting

  • Responsible for on-site execution of each event including managing the staff/team on-site


  • Four-year college degree preferred; however related experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to multi-task several projects at one time in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to quickly changing priorities

  • Approximately 40% travel may be required
